Our goal as a church body is to serve God together withPassion, Purpose, andPraise. Scripture teaches us that the church body is like the human body, having many parts all working together.
1st Corinthians 12:12“The human body has many parts but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ” 1st Cor. 12:18-22“But our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where He wants it. How strange a body would be if it had only one part! Yes, there are many parts but only one body. The eye can never say to the hand, “I don’t need you.” The head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you.” In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary.” 1st Cor. 12:25-27“This makes for harmony among the members, so that all the members care for each other. If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad. All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.”
To help carry out the responsibility that God has given us, we haveThe Involvement Team, also known as theiTeam.
TheiTeamwill:
·Help find ways to “plug-in” with each members spiritual gifts and natural abilities
·Create organized volunteer pool
·Connect members with each other
·Open communication between members and Focus Teams
Ultimately, the goal of theiTeamis to help unite the church body as one, working together to serve God.
Philippians 2:2“Then make Me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with on mind and purpose.”
To accomplish this goal, theiTeamwould like each member to fill out a Plug-In Survey and take a Spiritual Gift Analysis. The Plug-In Survey will help identify each area of service you are interested in. The Spiritual Gift Analysis will help explain which spiritual strengths/gifts God has blessed you with. It is essential to remember the most important gift God has given to all of us…the Holy Spirit!
Romans 5:5“And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.”
1st Corinthians 12:11“It is the one and only Holy Spirit who distributes these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.”
Please keep in mind that filling out thePlug-In Surveyor take theSpiritual Gift Analysisdoes not lock you in for how God desires to use you in the future, for God’s purposes are based upon His strengths, not yours alone. He may choose to take you into areas of service in which you’re naturally weak, to reveal His strength and bring glory to Himself.
2nd Corinthians 12:9“Each time He said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.”
As you go through life, it is important to be sure God is directing you. Consider saying this prayer or something similar in your own words, asking God to lead you.
Heavenly Father, keep my heart focused on You and Your activity. I want to experience You fully as I walk in the Spirit. Show me what You’re doing in my life and in the lives of Your people so I can make the adjustments necessary to join You in Your activity. I do want to please You and encourage those around me. Show me how I can practically be a blessing and bring glory to You. May I know and experience the gift of Your Holy Spirit in all Your fullness. I open my life for You to teach me, lead me, and work through me. Amen.
Once you take the analysis and the survey, a member of theiTeamwill contact you to review your results, answer any questions, and help show how you can get involved.
If you would like a survey/analysis mailed to you, please call or email us.
